As we sit down for our Traditional Thanksgiving meal most of us envision the colonists of the Plymouth Plantation's celebration of food and feasting to celebrate their first harvest. But it wasn't until President George Washington issued a proclamation in 1789 to set aside Thursday, November 26 as "A Day of Publick Thanksgiving and Prayer." The decree appointed the day "to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God."
So following the true spirit of the day.....I want to personally acknowledge with my grateful heart each of you who have supported Maggie and I in our Bette's Bags efforts over the past three years. Your support has been immeasurable and we are privileged and humbled by your continued encouragement and validation of our work.
We hope each of your are able to spend your Thanksgiving as we will be....with friends and loved ones, "tasting" everything on the table, watching football, The National Dog Show and The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! But most importantly reminding each other just how much we have to be thankful for in our lives!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

How appropriate that you like my blog and you make purses!!!
I love, love, love purses.
Had to stop myself from buying for a while. I was close to needing an intervention.
Your bags are beautiful. My sister lives in the DC area and I visit fairly often. Hopefully one of these days my visits will co-inside with one of your craft fairs.
Thanks for stopping by.
